Early build
You live in the town. You don't know how the story ends.
Qarya is a free, nonprofit game of accounts from the Quran. You play an ordinary person living there, and you have to choose what to do before anyone knows how it turns out.
The first episode: the town before the cave
It is set around the account of the young men of the cave, in Surah Al-Kahf, 18:9 to 26. A few young people in a town have refused to follow everyone else. You live there too. The road out of the north gate climbs a hill to a cave, and whether you follow it is up to you.
Your neighbour asks you to carry bread out to the hills before sunset, and not to say where you are going. The town watch is at the gate and on the road. What you tell them is up to you.

How the accounts are treated
- No prophet is ever shown or voiced.
- The town and its people are invented. They are built around the account, not taken from it.
- Your choices change what happens to you. They never change what the Quran reports.
- These rules are written down, and go to scholars for review before anything is published.
